For 2024, I’m sifting through my archives, with the intention to share weekly, or at least monthly excerpts of work I’ve made or am making. Hence the ambitious title 52 Pieces.

The first piece from the archives is a sonnet (I have a bit of a thing for sonnets!). The video above contains a poem that I wrote during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. I was on maternity leave with my first child, so it was a doubly surreal and visceral time.

I’m always searching for form, working with constraints and seeing how I can move within and beyond them. The medium of moving image and sound continues to feel like a good place to experiment.
